Medical (military medical) commission

The main tasks of the HQC of the MoI are:

  • determining the health status, physical development, and for certain types of service activities - individual psychophysiological characteristics of candidates for service in the police, candidates for admission to higher educational institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs with specific conditions of training, which provide police training (hereinafter - educational institutions), applicants for the higher education of educational institutions, suitability of police officers for further service during career transfer, service on a business trip abroad;
  • determining the health and physical fitness of candidates for military service under a contract, in the military reserve, candidates for admission to higher military educational institutions of the NGU (hereinafter - HEIs), the degree of fitness of servicemen for military service in connection with their dismissal;
  • determination of the causal link of diseases, wounds, injuries, contusions, and mutilations in police officers serving, discharged from service, and retired from service, servicemen of the NGU, former servicemen, former rank and file, and senior officers of the internal affairs bodies (hereinafter - former rank and file and senior officers);
  • determination of the causal relationship of diseases, wounds, injuries, contusions, and mutilations that caused the death of police officers, servicemen, former police officers, former servicemen, former rank and file, and senior officers.

The MEC of the Main Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in Dnipropetrovsk region in accordance with the tasks assigned to it:

  • conducts a medical examination of candidates for police service, police officers and former police officers, candidates for admission to higher education institutions, and applicants for higher education institutions;
  • conducts a military medical examinations of candidates for military service under the contract, in the military reserve, for admission to higher education institutions, servicemen of the National Guard of Ukraine, former servicemen, former privates, and officers;
  • ensures control over the conduct of medical and military-medical examinations, as well as medical and diagnostic work in health care institutions of the MIA and the NGU, the State Administration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in Dnipropetrovsk region and the State Administration of Kryvyi Rih.
  • summarizes and analyzes the results of medical and military medical examinations and develops proposals for improving this work;
  • together with doctors-specialists of health care institutions of the Main Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in Dnipropetrovsk region, analyzes and summarizes the results of treatment and medical examination and assesses the impact of service conditions on health and fitness for service.
